“How do I explain to people what an extraordinary change God has created in my life?  It should be sufficient to tell you that I was an outlaw biker and not a nice guy. After I came to prison I got into several fights and I would be tossed into the ‘Hole.’ While there, I started reading the Bible. I started with Genesis and read it through Revelation. Somewhere in my reading I started to put my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. I asked him to give me a new heart and He did! I couldn’t get enough, so I started sending away for Bible Correspondence Courses. So, over the past 23 years I have completed 152 courses and I’m still going!

I try to share my faith with others but they are not always receptive. But we have to keep trying, it’s too important of a message, the gospel of Grace! I pray that in the future I will find the job God has for me. I have enjoyed the Prison Mission Bible Studies. They are well thought out, and clear. I enjoy a Biblical based study, thank you!” – W.  Burkett

“I went to church as a kid. I had head knowledge of God and the Bible when I was a teenager. I accepted Christ as my Savior. I got married and had 2 children. They were raised with going to church. I did something wrong, ended up in prison for 9 years. I confessed my sin to God. He helped me out while I was in prison. I am out and living my life for Christ. His is my life. My faith is in God. He’s helping me out. I am staying out of trouble, doing service for God. Praise the Lord for loving us.” – Penny L.
